Future Schedule
The following is a sample schedule for a KBR class, for background purposes only; at present we are offering only our Tutorial approach instead. If we decide to set up a class, we will make an announcement via our email list and online, lay out the schedule, and start to take registrations.
Kids Book Revisions 2011 Fall Class Schedule
Registration and Payment: Due by August 16, 2011
August 21 - Synopsis Due
Synopsis should be 1 page only. No cover letters please, just a description of your character and plot or story line. Synopses do not have to be perfect. An editor/instructor will review and comment briefly on your synopsis. There are occasions when a particular manuscript does not fit the structure of a class setting. We will notify you if your submission is inappropriate or may require more than what can be provided during the course of the class.
Week of August 29 - Response to Synopsis
Sept. 9 - Manuscript Pages submitted by author
October 3 - 1st Response Critique due to Author
October 14 - Author Revision Due
Week of October 17 – 2nd Response Critique due to Author
Week of October 24 - Author Revision Due
Week of October 31 - Author receives brief, focused comments and then chooses line edit or second opinion
Week of November 7: Line Edit Due
By the End of November – 2nd Opinion Due
