Promotion Giveaway for Revising and Re-Imagining Your Novel or Chapter Book
How It Works
The basic idea is simple: You make a public post about the course on social media, with a link to the information and sign-up page, and you get an entry in the giveaway drawing. We don't want to miss your post, so you also need to make sure that we see it. On Facebook, just tag one of us in your post. On Twitter, use the hashtag #KBRNovels as part of your post. If you post elsewhere, such as on Instagram or Tumblr, please find some other way to let us know. Posts from now through February 24 qualify.
One post equals one entry. If you want to post once a day, or a similar more sedate schedule, we're fine with that. We will use our discretion in awarding extra entries for creativity or for posts that go viral or that attract discussion. We will also use our discretion in deciding what doesn't qualify as an entry--if you auto-post on Twitter every hour for a day, for example, we won't give you 24 entries for your efforts. That's overkill, and might annoy people. Posts on social media accounts with few followers or that seem to exist only for contest entries will also be excluded. Those two examples aren't the only possible problems, just examples, but rest assured that we want to reward people making a genuine effort to spread the word about the course.
The Prizes
We will select two winners at random from all the entries. The winners will be entitled to take either the "Revising and Re-Imagining Your Novel or Chapter Book" webinar, or a future Kid's Book Revisions webinar at no charge; OR to get a $150 discount on this year's Revision Retreat at Highlights; OR to get a $250 discount from one of us on a novel critique. If you win and don't want to use the prize yourself, you can transfer it to someone else. That's it! Simple. Thank you for taking part.
